Meet Barb

I'm running for re-election to the Rochester Community Schools Board of Education for a two-year term this November. I was unanimously appointed in July 2017 and retained my school board seat for a six-year term in the 2018 election.

Looking beyond the negative narratives and the intense past four years of service on a public education board, I've never wavered in my why and who I serve: our students.

My vision for the future is clear: I want to ensure our students continue to have access to one of the best public school educations in Michigan. I'm committed to ensuring the new strategic plan our board has adopted and its goals are implemented with fidelity and that our new superintendent is supported for a smooth transition into his new role because his success is our collective success, too.
